Welcome to the Aspergillus Trust's website

The Aspergillus Trust is a charity launched to raise awareness of diseases caused by the fungus aspergillus. These are mainly respiratory diseases, which include Allergic Broncho-pulmonary Aspergillosis (ABPA) a disease strongly linked to Asthma, Allergic Fungal Sinusitis, Chronic Necrotizing Pulmonary Aspergillosis, Aspergilloma and Invasive Aspergillosis. We aim to provide support and information on all issues important to those affected by these illnesses.

Our vision

The Aspergillus Trust seeks to optimise the health of all sufferers of aspergillus-related illnesses.

Our mission

To be advocates for those who suffer from aspergillus diseases and to improve the effectiveness of, and access to, treatment for aspergillus diseases available within the healthcare sector. To this end we hope to raise public awareness of the existence and nature of aspergillus diseases, so as to influence effectively the policy debate about, and decisions on, the allocation of resources, both public and private, for research into, and treatment of, aspergillus diseases.

We aim to...

• Lobby for increased funding for research into all aspects of aspergillus diseases and their causes.
• Increase public awareness of aspergillus diseases.
• Forge links between people suffering from aspergillus diseases, and to disseminate information about their medical condition and its causes.
• Increase knowledge of aspergillus diseases and current best practice in its diagnosis and treatment amongst sufferers and members of the medical community.
• Help sufferers to improve their work and home environments in order to diminish and control as far as possible the effects of aspergillus diseases.
• Provide information about physical aids to control the effects of fungal allergy, and about alternative medicines which may also play their part.
